TO ALL MEMBERS
Dear Club Member.
The Whitby Motocross Club is sorry to announce that the final race meeting for the year which was scheduled for 29th August has had to be cancelled.
Following the extremely dry spring and summer, the grass on the Skelder site
is hardly alive and the landowner has been unable to cut a decent amount of
hay or silage to see the stock through the coming winter.
Although he has been able to buy in some winter feed he is still reliant on any grass that can grow in the next few weeks and doesn’t want it flattened by our activities. He has assured us that we are welcome to continue next year and that this is a response to exceptional circumstances.
The Club Championship will be calculated from the results of the meetings already held and I will get them put up on the website.
Please check your results and get back to me ASAP if there are mistakes.
Some of you have already sent cheques and payment for the cancelled meeting. Could you please let me know whether you want me to?
(a) Destroy the cheque.
(b) Cash it and use it for the first meeting in 2011.
Many have paid for the full season at the
start of the year. Could you please let me know whether you want me to?
(a) Send you a refund for the last meeting.
(b) Use the payment for the first meeting in 2011.
